I Just Know

How is it I formulate an opinion on someone or something?  I just know.  I don’t need to have someone tell me what my opinion should be.  I have one of my own, but sometimes I can’t articulate what it is that I know or feel.  I just know.

I haven’t always listened to what I know.  There have been times that I’ve looked the other way.  There were times that I didn’t believe.  Those were lessons to be learned.  Time usually tells the truth.

Don’t lie to me as I will see right through it.  Don’t tell me what you think I want to hear.  Don’t think you are going to pull one over on me.  Don’t worry I can’t read your mind.  I just know.

Have you experienced that kind of knowing?  It’s hard to express exactly what it is like.  Did you know that you found your spouse that moment you met?  Did you ever have an idea pop into your head that you couldn’t let go of?  Have you ever gone to bed with a problem only to awake in the morning with the perfect solution?  You don’t know how or why you just know.

  1. Yes!! and I just can’t explain it but I KNOW. I don’t have visions, I don’t hear people or spirits talking to me, but I just KNOW. I’m learning to trust it more and more. Great Post!

I so agree with Amy’s post. There is no way to express exactly what it is like. It is a flood, all at once, of a complete knowingness about a thing. It is not surprising or amazing, it is not a woo-woo bolt from the blue. It just IS a quiet fullness of awareness best compared to the way an Adobe download works. It happens without conscious intention. It occurs to me that maybe the very act of our attention on a person or situation causes that download? The weirdest part is that the information does not feel foreign, it feels “known”, in the same manner that you know history you have studied, or are familiar with personalities in your own family. So, during a conversation, you may speak the familiar information with authority. However, if you are challenged as to how you know that, there is no easy answer. It can get a bit dicey at times!

  4. Definitely Amy! My inner voice has gained strength through the years and also I pay attention to how my body is feeling. If I get a bad feeling in my stomach or notice a change in my energy from positive to anxious etc…definitely have to step back! Great post.
