I apologize in advance for my random rant, but seriously people, I need to vent.
Have you noticed that where ever you go people are on their phones? Rudeness has elevated to a whole new level. I am not sure why people feel the need to speak in front of others about absolutely everything on their cell phone.
Have you been out to dinner and you are trying to order or have a private conversation when someone’s phone rings. I don’t mean ring. I mean “RING.” I swear, some people don’t have a clue. “Hello, People, cell phones are optional! Put them on silent or vibrate!”
Now, what usually happens next is the person answers the phone very nonchalantly and tell the other person that they are having dinner. “No, I’m not busy. What are you doing?” And, for some reason the person getting the call thinks that just because they are hard of hearing, everybody else is.
- You don’t have to answer your phone every time it rings.
- Be considerate of others. We don’t need to hear your private conversations.
- Turn off the ringer…Please!
- If you need to answer your phone in a restaurant or movie excuse yourself.

The truth needs no apologies
Excellent point!
I completely understand you. There are actually people out there that seriously answer their cellphones in the middle of a movie. I have experienced people in the theater answer their ringing cellphone and have a normal conversation. I agree with you! There are people who do not have the common sense of etiquette.
Yes, Grace. I agree no common sense!
I sooooooooooo agree! And the funny thing, when I was in the States recently for a visit, I thought the situation well under control there. Here is Israel it is 100 times worse!! Believe me! It has gotten to the point here where bus drivers have threatened to throw people off the bus for talking so much and so loudly that it disturbs them while driving…and the people actually argue back with them!! I think the whole world needs to rethink the whole cellphone thing. I remember doing a walking meditation through a mountain village in the Himalayas and actually having a Buddhist monk walk past me talking on his cellphone!! It is a universal problem and seems like it is only getting worse. I’d like to share this on Facebook if that would be OK with you!
with love light and JOY
Absolutely. Thanks for your comments.
The mobile phone – Tool of communication or badge of insecurity?

Amen siSTAR!

Love it!!! So true i have several friends that always take calls when out to eat etc.
Rude! Thanks, Pat.
Great point Amy. I totally agree with you.
Great minds think a like!
You, my wife, and I are soul mates…I also enjoy the person ahead of me in the grocery store line who is talking on his/her cell phone,, but can’t quite get it together enough to do that and get their debt card out, swipe it, and enter the pin number…pure joy.
Be encouraged!
Exactly! Thanks for saying.
