It’s been almost 2 years since we lost my mother-in-law. I came across a poem my youngest daughter, Ellen wrote after she died. Ellen had intended to read the poem at her funeral, but couldn’t get through it. The minister stepped in and finished. There wasn’t a dry eye in the church. Just imagine a 10-year-old reading this at her Grandma’s service.
When the cancer went away, it wasn’t the only thing that did.
Right now we are crying tears of sorrow while the angels are crying tears of joy.
Someone has gone. Her name was Cheryl or as I call her Grandma.
She will never leave us or our hearts forever; the soul that the angels keep.

such a beautiful statement made by such young and kind person
Thank you, Zoey. Nice to have you here.
Really beautiful. And how wonderful that you embrace your daughter and nourish her heart by allowing her to feel and by sharing her ability to love and grieve with us. Blessings, Erin
