When I give readings I recite a prayer and then connect with my guides.  The prayer is this:

Mother, Father, God,  Angels of Light and Ascended Masters.  I invite you into this space, a sacred space, where only love, light and knowledge can exist.  I ask my angels and guides to join me as I travel to another dimension.   I ask Archangel Michael for protection.

The prayer used to be much longer but over time it has evolved to this.   I also use this prayer before I do channels as well.  My guides know that I am ready to get to work.

Today, I am off to Chicago for the weekend. I will be attending a workshop with Debra Grace.
